Koichi Ninomiya Sensei and his younger brother Jota Ninomiya are both sons of Enshin Karate Founder, Joko Ninomiya Kancho, Enshin Karate Kaikan. This May, Koichi Sensei and Jota Ninomiya traveled to Italy to teach Enshin Karate in Parma, Italy. The event was planned by Nippon Kan graduate uchideshi alumni from Parma, Italy with Homma Kancho’s permission.

Nippon Kan uchideshi in Denver sometimes go to Enshin Karate to practice with Joko Ninomiya Shihan as part of their special uchideshi training. Koichi Sensei has been working at Domo Restaurant since he was in high school and is also well-known in Denver as the Rap musician“Ichiban”. After graduating from the university, Koichi Sensei works on the stadium sound crew for the Denver Bronco football team. Homma Kancho said, “I think it is very positive for young people to experience the world through the martial arts. It is my obligation to support these young people even if they practice a martial art other than Aikido.” With this Homma Kancho put arrangements in place for Nippon Kan graduate uchideshi in Italy to organize this event.
