Gaku Homma, Nippon Kan Kancho and Anees Khadka, Representative of the Nepal Aikido Organization in Nepal, attended the Aikikai Aikido Kobayashi Dojo, Yasuo Kobayashi Soshihan’s 80th Birthday Celebration and Seminar in Japan, Sept 24th-25th, 2016. Over270 guests attended the event from over 30 countries.
When Homma Kancho was a young man, serving as the last uchideshi to the Founder, Morihei Ueshiba, in Iwama, Japan, Kobayashi Shihan was a mentor to Homma Kancho providing him guidance and support during the last years of the Founder’s lifetime.
Beyond politics, Homma Kancho joined the hundreds of other guests in celebrating a great milestone in the life of an outstanding leader and teacher in our worldwide Aikido community.
