After his visit to Iran, Homma Kancho came to visit my dojo in Izmir. This was a surprise visit and my students were delighted with Homma Kancho’s practice and communication with all of them.
Local Izmir watering hole…no tourists here!
Homma Kancho has visited Izmir many times and has told me that he would like to live in Izmir someday. To ease the wear from the long trip, Homma Kancho visited some of his favorite places; an outdoor restaurant and a 600 year old hamam (Turkish bath)! We also spent a very nice evening at a restaurant where students played a traditional Turkish musical instrument call theSaz. If you are ever in Izmir, you might want to stop by the Kdlenin Yeri restaurant; you may even find Homma Kancho there!
