There are many students in the Denver metro area whose education is conducted in Japanese. On September 29th, 30 students, teachers, parents and guardians visited Nippon Kan Headquarters to study traditional Japanese culture as part of their sociology studies. Nippon Kan Headquarters has a traditional Japanese Folk Art museum with authentic artifacts from the countryside of Japan. Homma Kancho spent a few hours talking about the traditional lifestyles of Japan and explaining the uses for the many artifacts. Since Japan is half way around the world, it was a great opportunity for these children to be able to study true, traditional Japanese culture hands-on. Many thanks to the teachers for putting together this great fieldtrip!
