Nippon Kan October Homeless Meal Service

It was a HOT one! A beautiful October day with temperatures in the 80’s. Over 300 meals served by Nippon Kan volunteers including special guests Denver Councilwoman Debbie Ortega and her family. Nippon Kan meals for the homeless are served behind the St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church on Auraria college campus in downtown Denver. Homma Kancho and Nippon Kan have been serving meals to the homeless on the 3rd Sunday of the month for the past 26 consecutive years.

On the menu? Japanese chicken vegetable curry over rice, gyoza dumpling noodle soup, bread and desert!
