Yasuhiro Saito, a son of Hitohira Saito Jukucho of the Dento Iwama Ryu and a grandson of late Morihiro Saito, who had been a worldly Aikido-ka respected throughout the world, has succeeded to the name of Morihiro as the 2nd generation, and a name succession celebration ceremony was held at Meiji Jingu (aka Meiji Shrine) in Tokyo.
From Nippon Kan, Homma Kancho and Nepalese Army Aikido Lead Instructor, attended the celebratory occasion.
On the following day, Homma Kancho and Dan Gurung visited the Iwama Aiki Shrine to worship and the Tanrenkan Dojo to pay respect to Hitohira Jukucho and Morihiro II Sensei. And we, together with Stephanie Yap Sensei who had come rushingly from Florida to celebrate the occasion, received a deeply warm welcome from Saito Jukucho and Mrs. Saito.
