Dear Matsukawa Kyougaku Taiko Drummers,
Thank you so very much for performing in Telluride as a joint
benefit for Koto, AHAN and the Michael D. Palm Theatre. The
show was absolutely
spectacular; I am still receiving comments about it. This was such
a great cultural event for Telluride. All the people involved in
your drumming group were a joy to work with. Perhaps we can do
this again in the future!

Matsukawa Kyougaku Taiko Drummers,
The performance by the Matsukawa Drummers presented by Nippon
Kan at the Stage Theatre was one of the most exhilarating I have
seen. As a theatre manager I have the opportunity to view many
performances but seldom do I stay to watch entire shows. But
that night I remained for the whole performance including the
three encores. The energy, enthusiasm and skill of these performers
is truly amazing, especially when one considers that they are
all amateurs. They were able to create a wonderful rapport with
the audience and generated both humor and emotion using no words
at all. I would welcome them back to perform here in the future
- and next time I would bring my family!
