ワールドツアー２００５ 和太鼓コンサート IN ブラジル国 リオデジャネイロ 「心の響」 ブラジルで公演をしてみないか？日本館本間館長より話があった時は一瞬信じられない思いが頭を過ぎった。私達「信濃国松川響岳太鼓」は過去に10回の海外公演をこなしては来ているものの、ブラジルとは無縁の世界であったし考えてもいなかった。昨年、本間先生の日本館ＡＨＡＮ人道支援活動の一環として参加させてもらってアメリカ公演を終えて間もない時の話であったし、昨年のアメリカ公演も一時は中止を考えざるを得ない状況の中、本間先生の取り計らいで実現できた公演を終えたばかりの言葉だったからである。昨年のアメリカ公演は予定していた企画が壊れ、身動きの取れない状況下に置かれた私たちを導いてくれたのが本間先生であった。しかも、舞台の用意も今までにない素晴らしいステージを用意してくれたのである。私は、感謝の気持ちは当然ではあるがそれ以上に本間先生の手腕と実力を思い知らされたのである。故に今回のブラジル公演も中途半端な気持ちでは受けられない、私たちの下手な演奏や行動が本間先生の信用を損なうことになりかねない、そのことが頭から離れなかった。しかし、このことをメンバーに話したところみな真剣に論議をし、結論としてブラジルでの公演を決意した。遠くアメリカと日本での打ち合わせは全てメールと、たまの電話であるが約10ヶ月の月日を掛けて企画してきた。とは言っても私たちは練習が主体で全て本間先生の企画、交渉というお膳立てではあったのだが・・・。 私たちは、年を明けてから週2回、７月からは原則毎日の練習に加え、国内公演も極力ブラジル公演に向けたポジションで取り組もうとするが、配役もなかなか纏まらずまた練習も思うように仕上がっては行かなかった。しかし、私たちの海外公演の大きな目的は勿論、他文化の世界で日本の和太鼓を演奏し日本の良さ、日本の文化を知ってもらうこともあるが一番はメンバーの目的意識による自己研鑽の醸成、仲間意識の連携強化を図ることを主流に、また見聞を広げ個々の感性を高めることにもある。それが創作太鼓チームとしては重大な要素でもあるからだ。それゆえに普段の練習には意味も意義もあり大切な時間であった。ブラジル公演も間近となりようやく満足とはいえないがある程度納得できる状態にこぎつけてブラジルに向かった。 話には聞いてはいたがブラジルのリオに着くまでは約32時間を費やし、さすがに日本から一番遠い国であることを実感した。リオに着くと在リオデジャネイロ日本国総領事館から吉田氏と御付きの人、また本間館長をはじめ日本館ＡＨＡＮブラジル支部のルック氏とアルバド氏などの出迎えにより無事ブラジルの地に足を踏み入れた。この時私たちは本間館長の顔をみてホッとしたのが正直な思いであった。その後滞在期間中お世話になる小原さんの家に着くと同時に、翌日からの公演準備のため、梱包した太鼓道具一式の組立や調整などを済ませ万感の思いでブラジル公演の始まりにメンバー全員が既に思いを寄せていた。 今回の公演は勿論日本館ＡＨＡＮの主催であるが、日系協会も関わっていることを本間先生から聞かされていた。そして、今回の公演の意義は何であるか・・・という私たちに託されたテーマもあった。それは、ただ単に和大鼓コンサートではなく国際交流、親善、人道支援など大きな意義を持っていること、即ち長い間、日本・ブラジルの架け橋となって「日本の信用」を築き上げた日系ブラジル人の皆様への慰労と感謝を込めて、日本伝統文化の紹介により、ブラジルに於ける日本（人）の精神性の理解を深め、強いては日本・ブラジルの更なる相互理解に繋がることを願って、日本文化に疎遠となりがちな日系の子供達に日本文化を再認識させ、先代の苦労を思う心が啓蒙されることを願って、そして響岳大鼓がブラジル日系人のリプゼンティブとして、現地社会に「大鼓演奏」というパフォーマンスを持って「ブラジル日系人」の存在をアピールできたら・・・と。このことは、口には出さないまでも大きくプレッシャーとして圧し掛かっていたのは事実であったし、勿論これに答えるべく厳しい練習を積んできたこたは言うまでもない。今回の演奏は5回であったが、振り返ってみるとあっという間の出来事という印象が残った公演でもあった。それは滞在期間7日間という短い間でブラジル：リオデジャネイロという見どころいっぱいの地を堪能できたこと、そして何よりも私たちの打つ大鼓がブラジル人、また日系人の方々等々へ受け入れられたという実感があったからと思っている。その裏には長い道のりの上、また、大鼓公演は準備も
