Volunteer School Clean-up Project in Kathmandu

J M

On November 25th, 2016, 50 of our Nepal Ranger ANTC and RUC Instructor volunteers along with 40 of our WWY (Were’ With You) Youth Program members conducted our 14th volunteer project since the WWY was formed in 2015. This time, our team did a clean-up project around the Halchok School which has been an AHAN and ANTC supported project since the school was badly damaged in the April 2015 earthquake in Nepal.

Local residents and teachers joined us in cleaning up the area, where we were all reminded first- hand how important it is for Nepal to keep our country clean. The WWY kids did a great job, and were treated in the end to cookies and juice which made for a great day!

Many thanks to AHAN Nippon Kan for helping to support this and other projects for the Halchok School and for the children of the WWY here in Nepal.
