Homma Sensei on his last visit to Bangladesh advised me to undergo training at Nippon Kan Nepal Aikido Dojo at Kathmandu under Mr. Mariusz, a visiting trainer from Nippon Kan HQ, Denver, u.s.a.

I flew off from Zia Intl. Airport, Dhaka by Biman Bngladesh Airlines on 3rd July, 08, for Kathmandu and landed at Tribhuban Airport in Kathmandu in about an hour. From the airport I went to my hotel direct and took rest there for the rest of the day. After sunset I contacted trainer Mariusz San on phone who greeted me very heartily. Next day (Friday) I attended his training class at Dasrat Stadium. It was a day for physical exercise, but the trainer in my honour took general Aikido class. Saturday is a general holiday in Nepal. so no class was held on that day. Thereafter I attended 3 classes from Sunday the 6th July to Tuesday the 8th July. The dojo has about 30 students enrolled. In my estimation it’s a good achievement for a new dojo established by our Homma Sensei very recently.

Mariusz San introduced me with two Aikido students – one is Fura and another is Diangzi. They’re brother and sister. Both Ffura and Ddiangzi were very kind to me.

Mariusz San was kind enough to host me in two dinners in two of the best restaurants of Kathmandu. He also took me to several tourist’s spots which I enjoyed very much.

I also visited Nippon Kan Nepal Aikido association office located at a posh area of Kathmandu, where I had the honour to be introduced to Mr. Rajbhandari, president of the association and others. All present there greeted me heartily.

I had a great desire in mind for long to experience Aikido training in Homma Sensei’s Nippon Kan style. Thanks to Homma Sensei that he gave me the opportunity to get that desire of mine fulfilled which I dreamt of so long.

I came back home on 9th July being enriched with a happy experience.
