Homma Kancho traveled to Myanmar for a few days in December to meet with AHAN Myanmar Coordinator Nilar Than to check in on on-going activities and discuss plans for future projects for spring 2012.

AHAN Myanmar Learning Center

The AHAN Myanmar Learning Center in Yangon, open since June 2010 has become a solid part of the Yangon community and Homma Kancho enjoyed a visit with Learning Center staff and students who proudly reported on the number of their students who with this new opportunity, had passed examinations into Universities in Yangon.

Yadanapon Temple Orphanage

Homma Kancho and Nilar delivered rice and supplies to the Yadanapon Temple in Yangon where AHAN has been providing 1 ton of rice per month, educational and medical supplies for the past four years. They met with temple leaders to discuss important plans for building future facilities for the Yadanapon Temple outside of Yangon to continue their service to their communities in 2012.
