Most of the Denver Parks Department parks are located in downtown or suburban Denver areas, but the City of Denver does manage parks in the front range of the mountains just west of Denver. This year, our Nippon Kan Spring Volunteer Project with the Denver Parks Department was in O’Fallon Park, about an hour drive west of Denver in the foothills near Evergreen. The tasks for the day included building a large log barricade for large animals along the east end of the park and rerouting trails about ¼ mile up the mountain. About 50 people attended this project and completed all of the tasks safely and on time. Great job everyone!
