In August and September, 2011, Homma Kancho led a twenty five day practice marathon at Nippon Kan Headquarters dojo. One class per day was instructed by Homma Kancho as part of this marathon challenge.

Homma Kancho purposely did not schedule any overseas trips for August so that he could instruct this special marathon practice. He noted that this was a marathon challenge for him too as he taught classes every day for 25 days. Over 1250 student practice hours were logged throughout this rigorous practice challenge.

This year, one of the goals of this practice marathon challenge was to raise funds for the construction of the new AHAN Thailand Learning Center, Bilay House Orphanage and with student and Homma Kancho’s support, goals were met to raise funds for initial construction supplies.
