Miki Tsuchiya
Miki is a university student from Fukuoka, Kyushu, Japan came to study at Nippon Kan as an uchideshi student at the recommendation of Aikido Kobayashi Dojo this year. Miki showed an admirable initiative and was well liked for her positive practice, independence and self motivation. Miki assisted the office staff on many projects and made a very positive contribution as an office assistant.
After only a few weeks of practice as a Nippon Kan uchideshi, Miki accidentally stepped in her hakama during a front roll and hurt her shoulder. After spending the next five days practicing “mitori geiko” (watching practice) she was back on her feet and back in practice.
