Homma Kancho visited the Yadanapon Temple in Yangon, Myanmar; which serves as home for hundreds of orphaned boys. AHAN has been supporting the Yadanapon Temple with monthly rice donations, medical and educational supplies for the last 4 years.

AHAN Myanmar Coordinator, Nilar manages the monthly deliveries, and on this visit Homma Kancho supervised the deliveries of rice and other supplies himself to see how the children were doing. Homma Kancho dropped by at the children’s lunch time and joined them for a meal.

When these children at Yadanapon Temple in Yangon reach junior high and high school age, they are eligible to move to Jangon village, the home of the AHAN Jangon Learning Center, built with support by Homma Kancho and AHAN earlier this year. 300 meters from the Jangon Learning Center is a high school built by the Japanese government with a high standard of academics and low tuition.
