Home Alone and Holding Down the Fort!

Kreg Lyles

Aikido Nippon Kan’s Annual Fall Volunteer Event has been held at this time of the year for the past 27 years, and this year’s volunteer event was held on October 13.

Aikido Nippon members and their families & friends gathered in Civic Center Park in the heart of downtown Denver again this year to turn the flowerbeds to “put the beds to bed” for the next season.

On October 21, Aikido Nippon members and their families & friends gathered again as volunteers to carry out Aikido Nippon Kan’s monthly tradition of AHAN Homeless Meal Service, which Aikido Nippon Kan and its members have been doing on the 3rd Sunday of every month for the last 28 years.

While executive Nippon Kan staffs were traveling in Japan, senior & junior staffs and other members of Aikido Nippon Kan stepped up to the plate to carry out these volunteer events.

They were home alone but held down the fort quite alright!

Many Thanks to PAIGE san and SAN san as coordinators and for their leadership!

Thank You to ALL for all your help for making these volunteers events yet another success!

GOKURO SAMA to Everyone!
